Looking to sell, or swap my Toyota Estima. I've changed jobs, and now have a long commute rather than walking, so looking for something smaller and cheaper to run.
1996 Toyota Estima Emina 2. 2L diesel automatic, with overdrive. Rare Japanese import. 8 seats, all with seatbelts. The rear two rows fold flat into a large double bed. the middle row also rotates to face backwards. I fitted curtain's last year, which are velcro so they're easy to fit and remove. Ideal to use as a cheap camper, or a small van. The rear row folds away easily, and both rows are easy enough to bolt in and out. Double sun roof, the large rear one is electric, and opens and closes perfectly. No leaks. It's very modern for it's time, electric windows, AC, Rear fans, charging port in the rear. Absolutely everything works as it should. It has large 200 watt EDGE speakers, and a DAB head unit with aeriel, so the sound system is surprisingly good. I'm planning on keeping the head unit, but can leave the aeriel for the next owner. Fox alloys all round in decent condition. 4 really good tyres.
It's just passed its MOT, all it needed was a tyre and a wiper blade. Mechanically it's absolutely spot on. I replaced both front callipers just over a year ago, discs and pads were also done.
Cosmetically the car isn't the best. some paint fading and flaking, especially on the bumpers, they could do with a rub down and respray. There is a bash on the rear tailgate, which was there when i bought the car. i can source a replacement one but it's never bothered me. Both rear arches have just started to bubble, which is common for these cars, flagged as an advisory on the MOT. The underside is solid though, sills look spotless.
I'd value it at around £1, 500. These are really rare and sought after cars, took me ages to find one. I'd be interested in taking a swap, or a part ex for something a bit smaller and cheaper, preferbly something else a bit retro.
