Usual VTiS features - original B18C4 engine (1. 8 VTEC dohc, rated at 169hp) with S9B box and LSD.
Exclusive VTiS (one colour only) "Pirates Black" (NH605P) paint. Black with a purple flake that only shows in direct sunlight.
Single VTiS badge on tailgate.
Standard front strutbrace and lowered suspension.
Half leather seats with velour inserts and matching velour door cards.
Standard front and rear bumper spoilers plus sideskirts.
Standard Speedline 15 inch "fan" wheels with standard size 195/ 55/ 15 tyres (recent Toyo TR1s all round).
Leather steering wheel with red stitching.
Italicised numerals on speedo and rev counter.
Options (yes, extra options on a VTiS !) fitted from new (noted in original Honda service book) - Pioneer KEH-6900R radio/ cassette and silver/ black gear knob (with Honda "H" logo).
This car has "carbon" trim on the dash and centre console (and it's not a wrap). Believed original.
BTW, Blacked out rear quarter glass is standard on aerodecks, it is not a later "tint".

This is a super-rare, quick, discrete small estate - bit of a "sleeper"!
Average observer would not even notice it, but Honda enthusiasts have raved about it.
Being 169hp, only weighing approx 1200kg, and having standard 4. 26 gearing, it is quick off the mark, especially with the standard LSD. Despite the usual comments about them needing to be revved to extract the power, I have found that the torque (174 NM) is perfectly adequate to make rapid progress without getting into the VTEC rev range. But if you do get into VTEC range, that's a different matter and quite a thing if you've never experienced it ! Personally, sure it is quicker than the 0-60 times quoted.
With the standard lowered suspension plus front strutbrace and lower chassis braces, the car handles very well for an estate. The LSD definitely helps through the corners as well. It's also a practical car, with useful load space especially with the rear seats folded down.
Has original full size spare wheel (steel) fitted with original Bridgestone tyre (looks unused). Inside spare wheel is original moulded foam holder for jack, wheelbrace and sunroof tool (all there, and comprises the complete toolkit according to Honda parts catalogue).
Still has original supplying Honda dealer number plates.
Good quality floormats throughout and driver's floormat has the original embroidered VTI-S logo.

3 keys incl. red master key, plus remote fob.
Full book pack incl. handbook and service book in original Honda wallet together with Pioneer stereo manual and warranty cert.

Recent new tyres, Toyo TR1 (new tread pattern, not T1R) all round.
Recent replacement of headlining, matching original colour but original texture not available so chose alcantara-style.
Recent genuine Honda exhaust backbox fitted with stainless tailpipe finisher.
New battery (3 yr warranty) fitted Nov '22.
First owner - Honda Europe Ltd., London for 11 months (V5). Service book warranty page stamped by Honda Bristol.
However, car was sold to first private owner by Lancaster Honda, Morecambe.
First private owner had it from Aug 2000 to (approx) 2019 (19 yrs).
Registered in my name in June 2020.

First private owner always had the car serviced at the same Honda main dealer (Lancaster Honda) for 17 yrs (16 stamps). Included cambelt change at 55k (2008). Last Honda service was at 89k in late 2017. Appears that at the same time as services, owner also had the car MOT'd at the same Honda dealer (evidence from '06 onwards MOT history at least, so probably from when they first acquired it ?).
In my ownership, car has had a further 3 services including the initial major service (only 4750 mile gap after last Honda service) and general refurb when I first acquired it. Initial major service (incl cambelt change) and refurb was performed over a period around 94k in early 2020.
Latest service was in Jan '23 @ 104, 177 miles.
Car has had 3 oil services in last 13k miles.
In my ownership, oil changes always using fully synthetic 5W/ 40 oil. According to local Honda dealer (parts dept.), this is the spec of the Honda branded oil used by them for all Honda petrol engines (including the older ones). Major service and refurb in early 2020 (approx 94k miles) was the following:-
Cambelt kit (genuine Honda)
Cambelt tensioner (Koyo)
Waterpump
Spark plugs (NGK original spec)
Spark plug tube seals
VTEC solenoid gasket filters, upper and lower (genuine Honda), VTEC activation tested
Valve clearances adjusted
Rocker cover gaskets (3 over time), latest one genuine Honda, no leaks.
Sump gasket
Sump drain plug and gasket
Oil filter (genuine Honda), plus oil change. New oil filter on subsequent oil changes
Air filter
All auxiliary drivebelts
Gearbox fluid drain and refill (genuine Honda fluid)
Engine mounts, left and right lower
Driveshafts, incl inner and outer CV joints, L&R
Clutch master and slave cylinders
Clutch fluid drain, refill and bleed (fluid from existing stock)
Rear brake discs and pads
Rear calipers rebuild kit
Front calipers rebuild kit
Brake fluid flush and change (fluid already in stock)
Coolant thermostat (OE quality, original spec)
Coolant drain, flush and refill (genuine Honda coolant)
Radiator fan switch
Left front upper suspension arm incl balljoint
Lower balljoints (L&R), front suspension
Drop links (L&R) front suspension
Power steering drain and refill (with genuine Honda fluid)
Cabin filter (and recent change)
Bosch wipers all round
Heater motor blower resistor (now works on all speeds)
Replacement retractable load cover
Original style/ colour VTEC dohc decals for rear doors (and correct placement).
Included will be a stack of invoices for all parts, fluids and service items over the last 3+ yrs. Most invoices are marked with date and mileage of fitment.
Car is very presentable but not perfect, some paint rectification could improve it. Very light pitting to chrome trim. Some minor fading to driver's seat base velour. Some light scratches to glass (ice scraper in past ?). Some light wear to boot carpet. A/ C now needing re-gas.

Original foglights (Carello) removed as alloy casing corroded. As NLA, (even secondhand in good condition) these have now been replaced (not shown in pics) with generic units that closely resemble the originals.
Brake calipers have been painted "Cadbury Purple" (heat resistant paint) to match the purple flake in the Pirates Black paint, but could easily be returned to original silver colour.
Engine rocker cover painted VHT gloss black, original should be wrinkle black.
Exhaust manifold heatshield missing when I got the car. Not replaced as like the look of the exposed 4-branch manifold.
Plastic engine undertray is missing. Not replaced as makes servicing/ repairs easier.
If doing HPI check on the car, may come up with "mileage discrepancy" for 6 December 2012.
This is from the mileages on the MOT history. On the first test on that date, the MOT tester made an obvious "typo" on the mileage, reversing the digits from the correct 74, 298 to 47, 298. Later same day on the retest (at the same Honda dealer MOT station), the mileage was entered correctly as 74, 298 miles. Mileage also ties in to other mileages before and after this date.

From MOT history you will notice there was a failure on 20 Nov '18 for corrosion in the rear seatbelt and rear suspension (rear trailing arms) mounting areas. Next day, the car passed it's MOT. The failure and retest occurred at the same Honda dealer . As the welding rectification happened inside 1 day and the mileage hadn't changed between the failure and retest, I think it fair to assume that the welding repairs were done by the Honda dealer and (possibly) because it was completed quickly, the work was not extensive.
When I acquired the car, I checked these welded areas and found they had been re-undersealed at the time of the repairs (all of underside undersealed previously). Since then, underseal checked regularly and touched-in where necessary.

Since the car passed its MOT after the welding repairs, over the last 4 yrs it has not even had an MOT advisory for underside corrosion.
Current MOT has no advisories.

On some of the underside pics, you may notice a blueish colour showing towards the inner arches. This is just bright sunlight coming into the edges of the underside shadow, and causing a camera reaction/ colour change. There is no real blue colour there. Inner arches and surrounding area are normal blackish underseal colour.

Questions, viewings welcome.
Sorry, not interested in swaps or part exchange.
Payment - cash or bank transfer. For bank transfer, car not released until funds are in my account.
Despite the hints below ad that payment has to be through C&C secure system, it is within their rules that price/ payment can be arranged privately. I would prefer this.

BTW, I am not a dealer. I have not had 7 listings since 2019. First advert on here
