Offered for sale is my 1992 Citroen ZX Volcane 1. 9i Automatic, a rare combination and supposedly just one of six left.
Good bits!
- 2 previous owners (family owned from new, Mother and Son) who bought it from Tates Citroen of Brighton and still has it's dealer plates!
- Lots of service history including receipts for work and old MOT certificates
- Low mileage although speedo stopped working last year (I'd estimate its on no more than 62K now as it was and still is rarely used as the history proves)
- New front pads and discs
- MOT until December
- Both electric front windows and sunroof work (although slow)
- Its quick, corners brilliantly and very comfortable!
Not so good bits...
- Exhaust blowing quite badly
- Engine could do with some tuning/ tlc but it does run
- Quite a few scratches, scuffs and dents which are to be expected given its age and both mirrors damaged
- Paint dull, needs a good cut and polish
- o/ s/ r window regulator broken, window drops (has been held up by tape previously)
- Parcel shelf missing
- Central locking doesn't work
- Will need some welding to o/ s chassis rail (underneath) for MOT
There's a lot more I could say about the car but I thought I'd cover the basics and i've been as honest as I can be. The car does need attention and will need work to pass its next MOT but its a great project for someone to keep this rare car on the road. Please look at all the photos and judge the cars condition for yourself. I do have a video which I can send via WhatsApp of me walking around the car, showing its flaws and the blow in the exhaust can be heard etc.
