Description
The seller purchased this DS in 2025 in a private sale. The car was imported from South Africa and was first registered at the DVLA in September 2024. The DS's vehicle history is limited to the records of repairs and improvements listed on the available invoices of the classic motor engineers engaged by the seller since purchase. The DS's body work, mechanical operating and interior are all in excellent order and the car passed its MOT in September 2025. The sole reason for the sale is that the seller has decided to return to France, his home country, for which a right hand drive vehicle is not appropriate.
Some examples of repairs and improvements made include:
- replacement of the hydraulic suspension
- new brake system pump and feed hose
- new battery
- replacement of all drive belts for alternator, water and hydraulic pumps
- new wheel trims
- new radio system, aerial and speakers
- fitting of reversing and rear fog lamps
- new ignition switch
- all usual steps taken on a full service.
Invoices, MOT Certificate and V5C Certificate all available for purchaser. As a Frenchman, the seller's late parents had use of the first Citroën DS in Marseille for their wedding in 1956. The seller - who was not there at the time! - promised himself that he would buy one of these beautiful vehicles which he did. As can be seen from the photographs, the amazing condition of the body work, the shine of the dark red metallic coat and the smoothness of the ride offered makes this an absolute classic vehicle which the seller is very sad to lose.
