Description
The Jaguar mk2 has had 3 owners, it comes with the original engine and gearbox and they are in good order with no oil burning and at tick over the oil pressure is at 50 increasing to 80 at 2000 rpm
The chassis is in good solid condition and all jacking points are also in good sound condition , floor pans inner sills, front to rear of the underside in very good order, and they have been periodically waxoiled, so the car looks good underneath.
The car has been used for occasional wedding hire, but I'm just out of hospital and I'm in my mid 70's and I've only been out in the car 5 or six times this year, as I have 3 other vehicles and I'm downsizing so my 1955 Morris Minor 800cc, my Mercedes Sprinter, and my VTR 1000cc Firestorm have to go.
The car also benefits from the chrome wire spoked wheel
conversion, new 70 amp/ hr battery, and recent SU fuel pump. My wife always admired the mk2, a car that always stood out, and we did a couple of weddings but covid restricted us in doing more, but now my wife is in her 70's and is waiting to go into hospital for major, possible cancer surgery, and we are sorting out our affairs as I'm in my 74th year and the old Jaguars don't have power steering.
But we still like a 40 mile drive to the coast in the summer.
