Mr Darcy, s are offering for sale, this extremely nice Jaguar 240 Mk2.
The 240, and 340, were the last of the Mk2 Jags, and can be identified by the thin bumpers, which were to be seen on the Stype and 420s which were introduced before the XJ series was introduced 1968. This particular example is in excellent condition, having been meticulously cared for by its previous owner. No expense was spared, and it comes with a tasty file of works completed, which includes owners manual, as well as Haynes workshop manual. There are a few extra bits and pieces which come with the car, which includes a car cover, medical kit, and a selection of parts. This lovely lady has been on a number of excursions across Europe, and has some photos included as part of her file. She has been fully treated underneath, and has photographs which show the works completed.
The paintwork is in excellent condition, but for a few age related blemishes which would be expected from a car which is now nearly 60 years on the road. She drives like a dream, with working O/ D, and glides through gears with ease. Everything is working on this car as it should, and the interior is one of the best we have seen. There are no rips or tears in the seats or door cards. The wood and door caps have been finished to a very high gloss finish, and all electrics, lights, dials, and switches work as they should. She has seat belts front and rear fitted, and the new carpets really finish the luxurious interior. These Jags are becoming rarer to find in this condition, and truly are an investment for the future. There were only 3600 RHD drive cars produced before the XJ introduction, and although there are no production numbers by paint colour, its fair to say that Willow Green is probably lower than other standard colours.
