Description
This MK II 240 has held its French registration (carte grise) since 1990. It is of Belgian origin (BMC in Brussels), with an importer equivalent to ROYAL ELYSÉES in Paris. The JAGUAR Heritage certificate is available. It is a rare model in France, as only 159 units of this series were imported. It is the ultimate MK II. Some enthusiasts, myself included, feel its bumpers lighten and enhance the lines of this saloon. The bodywork is in good condition for its age. The interior is in AMBLA (a synthetic leather), which has one advantage: it preserves better than natural leather. It is fitted with options uncommon for this series: wire wheels and fog lamps. Upholstery work in 2022: carpets, headlining and sun visors. The woodwork is in very good condition. Mechanical work in 2025 with new parts: fuel pump, dynamo, regulator, ignition kit and harness, battery, engine oil change, gearbox and axle. The engine is a 2. 4 litre that runs smoothly on SP98 with no additives. It breathes better with its new air filters (the original one is available), and it sounds great thanks to a stainless steel exhaust. The MOT is favourable. To remedy a minor fault on the front dampers, they were replaced in early February. Over €3, 000 of work has been carried out in preparation for sale. The protective cover is supplied. Many photos available on request. Ideal for golf, as a bag and trolley fit in the boot, and, on a reasonable budget, it offers the pleasure of driving an eternal JAGUAR.
