Beschreibung
This is an original Land Rover 90 3. 5 V8 County Station Wagon with genuine low mileage. It is in original, unrestored condition and presents very well indeed. It has a wonderful patina that can only be achieved through time and use. It is mechanically very sound, having done a very low mileage and has clearly been well maintained throughout its life. I have owned it for 2 years and have had a specialist carry out various mechanical jobs to keep it running and driving well and it has recently passed an MOT with no advisories.
The owner before me had the car for around 20 years and the car was featured in various Land Rover specialist magazines during his ownership, in 2002, 2012 and 2020. Copies of these magazines will go with the car and provide a nice record of the car’s life over the years. It has seemingly changed very little over this time.
The bodywork is very straight and solid, although a little faded and worn in places. The interior is in remarkable condition for its age, all original and only minor wear in places.
It runs and drives extremely well, starting on the button with no choke required. It has been fitted with a Holley carb and uprated manifold and exhaust some years ago which gives it a lovely burble and improves performance somewhat. I have a Heritage Factory Build Record for the car confirming that it was originally built in March 1985, hence the early style lift up door handles and more attractive galvanised door tops. It is believed it may have been a factory demonstrator and this is why it was not registered until 1986. The factory colour is described as Roan Brown.
It is rare to find one of these in such original condition, as most have been used and abused over the years and/ or fully restored to someone else’s specification. This car offers someone a blank canvas to either use and enjoy as it is, as I have done, or if you are looking for a car to restore, this would be the perfect example, having never been taken apart before and still being in very good condition for its age.
If you are interested or have any questions, please feel free to call or email me. I would be very pleased to discuss it further.
