Description
Rover 75 Connoisseur SE 2. 5 V6. A Cowley car registered in November 1999 with 47, 000 miles and 3 former keepers. In very good original condition wearing its original paintwork and no welding. A pre Project Drive car (Rovers cost cutting exercise). The specification includes an array of factory options, too many to list. As you would expect for a 25 year old car, there are a few very light scuff marks. A couple of things to note, there is a small dent on the boot lid adjacent to the Rover badge, a few scratches on the upper part of the rear bumper and the wheels have scratches around the rims. The interior is exceptionally clean and smells like new however, some of the cloth on the door cards has separated, as they often do. The car has been run up to temperature and moved regularly, to ensure the mechanicals, electrics, climate control etc. are kept in good working order, even when SORN or out of MOT. 2 original keys supplied with the vehicle.
Confession time- There are two intermittent faults which do not prevent the car running and which I have run out of time to fix. Occasionally (on cold starts only) the catalytic converter rattles for a few minutes and on rare occasions the airbag warning light illuminates. I believe it to be the driver seat wiring. This vehicle has been dry stored for pretty much all of its life, often in a heated garage. A large folder of receipts, books, manuals and old MOTs are supplied with the car. Cam belts, water pump and tensioners replaced at 43, 112 miles. New heavy duty cooling fans in 2018. New battery this year. I bought the car 3 years ago from a Rover collector and had every intention of keeping her for many years. A classic Mini has now come along and I do not have the space for both vehicles. She drives like a new car and would put many modern saloons to shame. I have priced her sensibly to reflect the condition and the minor work needed to get her back to showroom condition.
