Here for sale is a very highly specified Porsche 996 3. 4 Carrera 4 Convertible
For the last 10/ 11 years the car has been looked after by a couple of local classic and Porsche specialists including ‘Autostrasse’ and ‘Carnaby Motors’.
Within the last 12 months/ 5k miles the latter had a good going through on this 911 to rectify common issues and also carry out some general preventative maintenance including:
•Clutch replacement
• Rear main seal
• Engine coolant pipes replaced
• Low temp thermostat
• Oil filler replaced
• Air oil separator gaskets
• Spark plugs replaced
• Oil Filter
• Cabin filter
• Air filter
• Transmission fluid changed
• Fuel filter
• New battery
• Throttle body cleaned
• Intake gaskets replaced
• Vacuum lines replaced
Pirelli P-Zeros tyres fitted all round
And lastly Front brake discs & pads, Rear brake discs & pads and Hand brake shoes

The early 996 Carrera 4 3. 4 I think is a bit of an underrated car especially in cab guise. You can get the roof down in summer and listen to that flat 6 howl (this example has a fruitier stainless system and really does howl - but by no means on an antisocial level)
Then when winter comes around you have the stability and traction of the 4 wheel drive system. This example also comes with its hardtop which transforms these into a cosier coupe making these cars truly usable modern classics.
The handling on this example feels sharp, taught and poised in that typical Porsche fashion. The recent P-Zero tyres do a good job keeping you stuck in the twistys too
Being the early 3. 4 model this has the more durable double row IMS bearing which are less prone to failure. Ive read that it only effected 1% of the cars and when the engine was out the garage reported there were no signs of leaking.
Everything on the car works as it should including air conditioning, cruise control, heated seats and most importantly the convertible top.
The car quite frankly has a beautiful specification. She boasts gorgeous terracotta red leather interior with the ultra rare full carbon accents, heated seats, extended leather, Hi-Fi sound system etc etc. The leather interior has some general wear and tear but certainly nothing major, you can see in the pictures the steering wheel is slightly worn through and the lacquer on the carbon is cracked in places. The carbon has also lifted slightly on the dash.
The roof had been replaced by a previous owner and swapped for the later glass window style but unfortunately there is a small tear on the top. Purely cosmetic as she does not suffer with water ingress.
The body work is in good condition overall, however she is 25 years old with a smidge over 100k on the clock so does have a few marks on the exterior. This makes for a nice usable 911 that’s sensibly priced and can be improved upon as and when someone wishes, whilst still being able to drive her :)
She will also come with a fresh 12 months mot before sale.
