Sadly due to loss of my workshop our beloved 940 has to go.
We purchased this car from a lovely carpenter who had owned it for 15 years and had it correctly serviced and looked after by Volvo. It was running and driving absolutely fine. It's a top spec CDI with cruise and all electric features working and a lovely interior.
Unfortunately Volvo decided to use bodge and fibreglass on the sills so once I discovered this I ended up taking it off the road for welding and resto.
The car has had the rear inner arches, sills and any areas underneath blasted, welded and epoxy primered. The full underside was epoxyed once all work was done also in a heated workshop. I have put a hell of alot of work Into this car and it's sad to see it go.
To finish the car it needs two holes in the arch to engine bay welding (the common area where bolt hole is) and some front wings.
These were the last parts to do before paint and reassmbely when sadly the house sold along with the garage I was renting. Its sat under my lean to since as I've been unable to get space.
I have a genuine in the box Volvo wing, the rare as hens teeth window seals, new light covers and alot of parts new in the box that will go with it pending a deal been made. I also have a roof rack I may part with too with brackets etc.
I merely want £1000 on the conditon it MUST live on. This car is not a breaker and will return someone a tidy profit once finished.
The previous owner is very keen to see it alive and kicking again as am I as it deserves it.
I took pictures of all my work and everything removed from the car is still here In storage to go with it, so it wants for nothing beyond wings as previously stated and a service once ready. It drives perfectly apart from a small oil weap near the sump.
