Description

Lovely convertible, 2 owners since 1961 - warranted

New MOT unlike the rest on the market so buy with confidence, i am a rapier club member, alpine club member, sceptre spares advisor for humber club and am one of the hunter gls registrars for the hillman owners club - i have a reputation for honesty and its one i want to keep, selling cars is not my main business.

Great car, it has character and its got a feel to it, not to perfect, a very useable classic at a good price, the family offered it on the owners club website earlier in the year and i went and had a look and offered advice, after they got messed around i took it to the rootes archive centre open day/ show at the British motor museum at Gaydon, to help find a buyer but no direct offers despite a lot of compliments on the car and the price. I bought the car from the family, and have done a few service things, new points, oil and filter, check brakes and adjust , new old stock clutch master and slave cyl, new MOT, small bit of welding on rear spring hanger (one patch from years ago was not fully seam welded all round, i have pics)new tyres, track rod end boots, fitted new bonnet pull and other such items, i expect you can find other bits to improve it but it can be enjoyed as is and driven home.

The car had been restored in mid 1980's and resprayed in metallic green, with new hood and taken to various shows, i have pics and paperwork from bromley pageant and similar.
It originally had an overdrive gearbox but is currently running a standard 4 spd. I have overdrive units available.
Club Series spares expert Mike Langley met the owner with the car about ten years ago, and can confirm he only drove it on dry days and always had it garaged.
Spare used green seat bases to replace the front lower parts are with the car, as well as all the pictures and memorabilia related, also spare hubcaps and similar.

Five new tyres, hood has had repairs in the past where screws in b rail had stressed the vinyl and it split, it had been torn and repaired with ugly glue which is why ive had to put larger patches on top. Has tonneau cover

Loads of history - old mot's, bills going back to the 1960's , all from specialists and local south london motorfactors

Can be inspected on a ramp
