Description
Triumph Vitesse Mk2 1969, a genuine documented 37000 mile car from new ! A rare original vitesse that has never had its body disassembled, never had any welding to the body or chassis ! It is far from a trailer queen but has mainly original paintwork that has a great patina to it and is in remarkable original condition for a 54 year old car.
It is not for the purists out there, in the 1980's with 18000 miles on the clock the then owner had the engine rebuilt and tuned by Triumph Tune and Osselli, the vents you can see put in the bonnet and Wolfrace slot mags added plus some other work to the gearbox and suspension. I purchased the car in June 2021 from a Triumph enthusiast who had the car 20 years. The car has exemplary MOT history. During the two years i have owned the car i have spent a small fortune on further upgrades. These include, alternator conversion, high tourque starter motor, upgraded billet alloy water pump and alloy housing, 8 blade blue cooling fan, 2500s inlet manifold to match the 1" 3/ 4 SU's, alloy rear engine plate, lightened billet steel flywheel, close ratio Ford Type 9 5 speed gearbox, roto-flex cv conversion drive shafts etc. She drives really well and sounds great.
She does need the following, a suitable gearbox cover making ( using the original which does not cover the gearstick end ), nearside rear wheel bearing needs attention, new carpets, a small intermitant wiring problem affecting the fuel guage and windscreen wipers etc. Only selling due to a return to my love of classic motorcycles, I do have lots of pics available.
