This factory V8 is one of only 742 of this model, being one of the last 100 built in 1976 when production ceased.
Just 2 owners plus one registered keeper since 1979 with a fully documented history of restoration, repairs and modifications, including parts receipts and photographs of the bodywork repairs.
A full body restoration was carried out during 2008/ 9.
Dinitrol rustproofing has been injected to all cavities.
Mechanical items have been progressively replaced, including an engine rebuild during 2016.
The front suspension has been converted to adjustable coil over gas shock absorbers. Gas shock absorbers are fitted to the rear.
Front discs are dimpled to aid cooling, with new pads just fitted.
The cars still retains its original unique steel/ alloy V8 wheels.
All tyres are near new Dunlop SP Sport, including the spare.
The original period radio/ cassette is fitted plus a period graphic equaliser. There is a working automatic electric aerial.
The engine has waterless coolant which has a higher boiling point and operates at a lower pressure. Summer intakes are currently fitted, with the pancake type included with the car.
The Weathershield sunroof works perfectly and doesn't leak.
There is heavy soundproofing everywhere, making for a very quiet driving experience.
The wood rim Moto-Lita steering wheel adds a touch of elegance.
The car has been owned by a fastidious owner since 1979, who passed away last year following a long illness, hence the reason for sale.
The registration 11 PRR has been on the car since one year old and to maintain the history, will remain (despite numerous requests to sell it).
It obviously has considerable value.
This is an appreciating and rare model, particularly as it has not been modified with chrome bumpers, and being so rare would actually devalue it.
It is in stunning condition which looks lovely from 6ft away but close up there are a areas of paintwork that could be attended to. There is no corrosion on the under body, having all been attended to during restoration, with replacement inner & outer sills and lower panel sections.
