1994 Lotus Elan M100 series 2 limited edition, number 232. This stunning Lotus Elan finished in Pacific Blue has covered only 83, 000 miles and has been cherished and well maintained throughout its life.
The car has the highly regarded 16V 1. 6L Isuzu turbo engine with an output of 130bhp. Pulling Only 996 kg. Top speed is reported to be about 130mph.
MOT until Sept 2024.
The current owner has upgraded the brakes with front and rear PNM calipers and has upgraded the suspension with AVO adjustable dampers and new springs this summer. This car has also had its headlight lift motors reconditioned.
Stunning Pacific blue paintwork was re-sprayed less than three years ago and although it has a tiny number of stone chips it is in almost perfect condition. The hood is perfect as are all of the seals.
The interior is very tidy and comes with original cream, leather seats and door card inserts as well as bespoke blue mats. The car has recently been fitted with a period appropriate Blaupunk stereo with new front and rear speakers all replaced at the beginning of this year.
Spare wheel, jack and genuine original Lotus tool Kit. These S2 cars benefitted from galvanised wishbones and slightly bigger ( and nicer) alloy wheels. The tires have only done 2k miles. The Elan M100 was described by the motoring press in the 90s as the best handling front wheel drive sports car in the world and very little has changed since that time. The Isuzu Turbo engines in these cars are often described as bulletproof when well looked after and there are plenty of these cars driving around with over 150, 000 miles on the clock. This car is a superb drive, very smooth and handles like it’s on rails, It is quick and reliable. The series 2 cars had the addition of an O2 sensor which made them more economical than the SE Cars and my car will easily return 35-40 mpg.
This car also comes with a hard top, this does need a little work to bring it up to standard but these are incredibly rare and adds future value. If you don’t want the hard top I can reduce the price of the car.
