1991 Lotus Elan M100 SE Turbo in arguably the best colour combination of Red with a charcoal and red leather interior. Purchased by the current owner 18 years ago in 2005 with 4 previous owners the Elan has been lightly used in the summer months and stored indoors in winter. Some service history and a cam belt change and service 600 miles ago. New fabric roof cover fitted 2 years ago, {the original roof is still with the car}. MOT till August 2024. When Lotus wanted to introduce a model that sat beneath the likes of the Esprit they decided on a re-boot of the Elan name. But there was a surprise for the marque faithful, with the new wedge-shaped design adopting a front-wheel drive layout. It was a decision some traditionalists struggled to accept, but in practice the handling was superb and remains a high-point of Elan M100 ownership today. This 1991 SE Turbo example has covered a mere 61000 miles and represents an honest usable example at a very sensible price. The car would benefit from some minor investment to bring it to a higher level but is very usable as is, if you don't want to spend but still have some fun. Sadly I don't get to use the car very much so am reluctantly letting her go for someone else to enjoy. She has been a very reliable and enjoyable car to own and will no doubt bring a smile to the face of the new owner every time you get her out on the road.
