Up for grabs is this stunning 2003 VW Mk4 Golf R32 in the very desirable specification of 3 doors with the signature 'Deep Blue Pearl Effect' paint and the full black leather interior.
This is obviously a cult car in VW circles and it is getting almost impossible to find a completely stock car like this one. The Mk4 is a rare beast compared to the Mk5 too, especially in this spec. Everything is present and correct as it left the factory, there are no silly lowering kits, no remaps and no daft induction kits. This car is unmolested and exactly as the VW engineers intended right down to the original radio cassette player.
The car comes complete with a comprehensive service history to include a fully stamped original service book as well as a supplementary genuine VW service book that was used once the original one filled up! The original book pack is present, along with both original and fully functional remote keys. There is also a thick folder of receipts and bills that go back over the full 20 years of the car being on the road and the old MOTs are also present.
On top of the routine servicing and oil changes, the all important Haldex oil has been changed numerous times in the cars life with receipts to prove. The current MOT runs until July 2024. The current milage is 117, 000 (averaging 5, 800 miles per year over the cars life), although in more recent years the milage has gone up very slowly as this has been a Sunday car rather than a daily. The car is of course HPI clear.
The important little clues that this car has been cherished and looked after are all there, including all of the original VW glass on every window, including the original windscreen. All 4 tyres are premium Michelin Pilot Sport 4s (no nasty £29. 99 budget tyres as you see on so many of the neglected examples).

One minor but important upgrade that keeps the factory look of the car but brings it into the modern era is a discreet bluetooth unit mounted behind the factory headunit out of sight. When you select 'CD changer' on the original headunit it turns on the bluetooth and connects to your phone, allowing bluetooth music streaming as well as voice commands using Siri or similar. It also allows you to use your phone hands free for calls too. In addition, you can also plug a charger cable into the unit (currently set up with an Apple lightning cable for iPhone but could be switched easily to and charger type).
The car stops, starts and drives beautifully as you would expect and is always driven with mechanical sympathy, having been in the family since 2018. There is no chain rattle at all and the chains are checked at each service, always within tolerance. Bodywork is honest but good with just normal marks from use. No large scratches or noticeable dents. Interior is great.
There are a couple of bits to mention on the car that other sellers would probably gloss over and they are shown in my last 2 photos. This is some minor bubbling starting on the drivers side rear arch, which has never really progressed much and could probably be sorted by one of the 'Chips Away' type guys. In addition, there are very tiny light bubbles beginning near the rear of the passenger roof gutter. Both of these are well documented Mk4 Golf issues common to all cars of this era and I guess the fact that they are only showing now, at 20 years of age is testament to how cherished this car has been throughout its life.
