Red with black roof and cloth interior. This is a UK car with the 1. 8i VVT engine (around 149 bhp) and is near concours. Please note this vehicle is ULEZ and LEZ compliant. In terms of condition there are two or three minor stone chips on the front of the car but the condition is exceptional. The interior is also very smart as you would expect from a car with this few miles.
Dry stored off the road in optimal conditions for 8 years and obviously garaged all year with summer use only for its whole life. This beautiful example has been back on the road for 18 months / 1500 miles and had four brand new Mazda wheels and hub cabs and 4 x Michelin Pilot Sport tyres fitted this year. It drives perfectly, as you would expect with no noise from the engine, gearbox or diff and the suspension being tight and without any knocking. The car is completely standard in every way.
The car has two keys and an MOT valid to April '24. The V5 is in my name and just 3 previous owners.
In addition to the car I also have a Mazda rear luggage rack along with a very rare genuine Mazda MX5 NB aluminum suitcase. I also have a tonneau / boot cover (for when the roof is folded) along with a fitted indoor and an outdoor storage cover. These are not included in the sale but may be available. The suitcase and rack in particular go very nicely with such a special example of this vehicle. MOT history and service records to back up the mileage - although the condition is evidence enough. As you would expect from a car that has been stored there is not a service record for every year, but all service items were replaced before being put back into use 1500 miles ago (including spark plugs, cambelt and all fluids). There are also Mazda receipts from over the years that the car was in use before it was placed in storage.
This car is unique and presents like it is literally a few years old. It has none of the corrosion issues in the typical NB/ MK2 locations, the underside is as clean as above and none of the underseal is damaged. The front bumper and wheel liners have been removed and treated with a coating of lanoguard before replacement, along with the chassis rails and suspension components.
The car and paint work has not suffered UV damage and the paint is excellent. For example the light fittings are crystal clear and have never required polishing. This vehicle is of a museum / collector quality.
