Selling on behalf of my father, we are parting ways with his beloved Citroen Xantia due to his retirement and the car's lack of use. This classic vehicle, which I'm confident will become a collector's gem, has been a cherished part of our family for many years.
The honest bits:
? Has sat on my drive for a few years however I do start it up and take it for a drive around the block and check fluids every few months.
? Dent on driver?s door which means window goes halfway down. (thanks to a tool who reversed into it). Also, few knock on bodywork which is expected with a car this age and hard working.
? Lacker peal on roof
? Radio no longer works.
? Gear knob has disintegrated.
? Has a very slight leak (I think this may be from a lhm return pipe)
I would be willing to get an MOT on the car for the right price, however I have broken my hand and can?t drive so I?m hoping will be able in a couple of weeks. (Depending on what the doctor says)
It has had a set of new spheres put on it which are only a few years old prior to car being sorn, and the car has sat on axel stands while sat to preserve the spheres. Suspension works perfectly. It has always been serviced when it was in use. it's a very smooth runner with a reliable engine and gearbox. Its mechanical maintenance has always been a priority, ensuring it remains in good condition. 109, 012 miles on the odometer, this car has plenty of life left to offer.
The Citroen Xantia has been a symbol of reliability throughout its ownership, never once letting us down. It has proven to be an excellent workhorse, boasting a massive boot that has accommodated countless adventures.
