- Twin 40 DCOE Weber carburettors
- Facet fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator
- Tubular exhaust manifold mated to competition large bore exhaust system

- Lowered and stiffened front suspension, competition springs and dampers
- Lowered and stiffened rear suspension, c/ w anti-tramp bars and Panhard rod
- Laminated front 'screen (new, fitted 2022)

- Full MSA compliant fire extinguisher system (currently in date, fitted 2022)
- Electrical cut-out switch
- Competition lightweight battery
- 5 gallon aluminium 'explosafe' MSA compliant fuel tank in boot
- Welded rear diff ('open' diff supplied with car)
- Alloy wheels with recent Yokohama treaded race tyres (only used for 3 races)
- Nodding dog (genuine period one!)This car is great fun to drive, with predictable and stable handling, a sweet gearbox and sufficient power to make racing fun. Brakes (disc/ drum) are good once warmed through, and the car is very stable under heavy braking. The o/ d gearbox is a real bonus on longer straights, avoiding the horrendous over-revving that can happen without.
This Minx gets loads of attention wherever it goes ("my dad had one", "wow, don't see many of those" etc.) and strictly speaking, is rarer than a Ferrari 250GTO with something like 14 remaining! Nothing like as common as a Lotus Cortina but a fraction of the cost.
A perfect introduction to Historic motorsport with good spares availability, easy to work on mechanicals and the fun of competing in something a bit left-field to break up the rows of MGBs......
For sale due to current commitments to classic bike racing.
