This car has been meticulously cared for and is a rare find. It is fitted with the optional ZF triple range switchable auto box which gives the choice of relaxed auto or sports box, the gear changes are smooth and crisp and in terms of handling the car feels really tight and precise.
Bodywork is excellent apart from some inevitable stone chips at the front. The engine bay is pristine as can be seen from the pictures.
It comes with a full book pack and a file of invoices for work carried out - the mileage is only 96, 500. These E28 m535i’s have 218bhp, a top speed of 143mph and 0-60 of 7 seconds - which is still very respectable 30+ years later.
Prices are only going to go one way as there are not many left in such original unmolested condition. This particular car comes from a collection of BMW M cars and has clearly been cherished. In the recent past the following items have been replaced; steering arms, brake hoses, anti rollbar links and bushes, MAF, exhaust mountings, differential mountings, brake lines and shock absorbers.
All electrical items are in fine fettle as is the central locking and the electric sunroof.
The car was originally a UK delivered car and was then in a collection in Ireland for 7 years until I bought it in 2016. The car has an MOT (Valid until 13 Feb'25) no advisories UK registration underway.
