1951 Ford delux custom sedan [known as shoebox].
fordor, lhd. Almost certainly the best original example in the UK.
This is an original Texas car winning best of show in 2021. Other than a repaint in its factory Hawaiian bronze the car is 100% original. All original upholstery in amazing condition, original headlining, working radio and working clock . Four new whitewall tyres [not as shown] Having covered less than 250 miles. the car is now 72 years old with less than 21, 000 miles. I recently returned from the Rally of the Giants [200miles round trip] and the car drove faultlessly.
The chassis is undersealed and looks as good underneath as on top. stainless exhaust fitted.
if you want an original shoebox ford this has to be the one. An original texas car which spent 37 years stored with one collector/ owner . it was subsequently consigned for sale through a dealer in Maine [who considered keeping the car because of its originality] and I purchased it in 2020.
Almost certainly the best you will find in the uk and it would be hard to find such an original example in America.
