Description
Here for sale is our 1971 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow I, finished in white with a black ever-flex roof, and blue leather upholstery. Historically used as a wedding car, although both the bodywork and trim are in good condition. We started restoring the car with a Rolls Royce Foreman in his spare time, but due to ill health, time and space we never managed to complete the project. Prior to restoration the car was road legal and drove well, with no issues to the engine or gearbox. Since it has been in storage we have drained the cooling system to prevent any damage, to get running again, we believe she should simply need a new battery and the cooling system refilled. Our restoration on the car was focused around the mechanical suspension and braking components, we have removed and painted the rear subframe, replaced all the brake pipes etc. Currently the rear axle, prop shaft and exhaust are off of the car, but we have got this in storage and would be sold with the car. Structurally the car is sound with no corrosion or bodywork damage. All the panels are straight, with good door shuts, and chrome is in good condition. The interior is finished in the traditional blue colour as factory, and shows slight age related wear, but no real visual deterrents, with good condition wood work. This is a car I really hope someone is able to finish the project and restore her to her former glory, as she is a good straight example and it would be very sad to lose her for parts or the banger track. Any questions you have please enquire with me. I bought this Shadow I, a number of years ago now, with a number of other classics from an estate which had recently suffered the loss of a loved one. I had planned to restore her back to factory spec in the original caribbean blue paint, to match her trim, unfortunately due to a lack of space, time and other projects now getting in the way, it is time to let her go and find a new owner who can finish what we started, and see her back to her former glory.
