This Volkswagen Beetle is a rare car, being one the 300 ?Last Edition? European-built cars for the UK, and with remarkably low mileage. It is powered by the 1. 2-litre air-cooled flat-four engine, coupled to a four-speed manual transmission. The vehicle plaque inside displays it as number 103 of the 300 registered ?Last Edition? Beetles produced. This vehicle was not registered on the road until 1st August 1980 so it is suspected that it remained on show in a dealership until this time.
The bodywork is in excellent shape, with no dents, scrapes or other damage in the panels. The insides of the wheel arches are immaculate, and all of the chrome workcremains in superb order. Its Diamond Silver paint shows no stone chips or other blemishes. This Beetle rides on the original 15-inch steel wheels and polished hubcaps, which are all in outstanding condition.
This Last Edition model is specified with a Marine Blue interior with the velour and seat coverings in excellent condition with no damage or discolouration.
At 43 years of age, this Beetle has only covered 458 miles from new and provides a wonderful opportunity to own a well preserved, meticulously stored and one of the last of these classic icons.
