Excellent condition and Ulez compliant 1. 6 MGF with very low mileage and still displaying its dealer number plates.
Tahiti blue coachwork over charcoal interior. The paint presents very well bar the odd age related light mark but no big dents, scratches or rust. In fact all 4 wheel arches are excellent, and the only bubble I can see is on the near side rear qtr under the paint ( I?ve tried to show in the photos but it?s very hard to see, just being honest).
The hood is also in excellent condition and recently benefitted from a new rear window, an area often cracked or perished on these MGs.
Superb alloy wheel condition with good tread all round on the tyres.
Inside the seats are free from damage, but have slightly faded over the years. The dials, Power Steering, electric windows and stereo are all working fine.
During lockdown this MGF benefitted from a belt, water pump and full stainless steel exhaust courtesy of the last owner and pulls like a train with a distinctive burble from the exhaust. However, it has been sat standing in dry storage for almost a year and is now sporadically stalling when pulling up to a rest. This may be low battery voltage, possibly fuel however I added some E5 superunleaded and although better, still stalled occasionally. The other known gremlin with these engines is the stepper motor, any which way, whilst it?s perfectly drivable home, this issue requires addressing longer term. The head gasket has previously been replaced and is fine.
A great opportunity to nab a low mileage example cheaply, its so clean I believe the first to see will buy. I?ve tried to describe warts and all, but please don?t hesitate to ask if you have any further questions or require more detailed close up photos. Stunning paintwork and all the normal MGF foibles fixed over the last few years due to enthusiast ownership. Mileage warranted from the mot history.
