The Appeal

For anyone in search of a classic car that isn't sure what to go for, we would wholeheartedly recommend the MGB. The inimitable 'B' remains one of the most beloved British sports cars ever made. Its combination of a willing four-cylinder engine, simple mechanicals, and open-top motoring has earned it a devoted following that shows no sign of waning.

This 1978 example began life as a 'rubber bumper' car, but has been converted to more attractive chrome items. The vendor reports the bodywork is exceedingly solid and notes that the underside has been fully undersealed. In 2021, the car received a new head gasket, radiator, and hoses, addressing key areas of the cooling system. It has also been upgraded with a five-speed manual gearbox in place of the original four-speed. The vendor states the engine starts first time and runs very well, and that the car drives as it should. Inside, the vendor describes the black interior as being in excellent condition, with the door trims in very good order. The soft top is reported to be in good condition and water-tight.
