1965 Volkswagen 1500S Type 3 Notchback

An original, unrestored car with its OG Ruby Red paintwork. Has a fantastic patina - not rusty!

Seats refreshed and reupholstered by 13 Stitches with OEM material.
Passenger seat has a Huls recliner on it.
Original door cards which are undamaged.
Carpets have been installed throughout.

Aircooled Accessories woodrim steering wheel. (OG one to be included)
Custom gearknob (OG one will be included)

Original 1500cc twin carb engine which has had a lot of time spent on it by a Type 3 expert to get it running perfectly. Runs like a dream and happily cruises at 65mph.

Original drum brakes which have been refreshed and work perfectly.

Lowered front and rear and retains the original Type 3 beam etc. Spax front shocks. Rides like a dream.

Fully polished / detailed and unmarked 5. 5? American Eagle Fuchs wheels with painted Porsche centre caps. Rear tyres are 185/ 65/ 15 with 145/ 65/ 15 on the front. All are in excellent condition.

Will come with the original wheels, hubcaps and stylers.

Original 6V electrics with everything working as it should
Yellow headlamp lenses (clear included)
Flat tail lights
All chrome trim present and fitted
Bumpers have heavy patina, but are original and suit the car
Rear pop outs

The car has an amazing back story to it.

Car is located on the Dorset / Hampshire border. Happy to take to local ports for export. Originally sold in Germany, before finding its way to Italy. Story goes that the car was owned by a SS Officer who moved to Italy in the 1970s when the ?Nazi Hunters? were out in force. In his death, the car was put in a barn and all paperwork destroyed.
