Condition of the bike and living with it
The bike has always been garaged.
The speedo shows a mileage of 47, 308 approx, though obviously, this cannot be verified and would be for the frame and forks.
The bike is in good condition though there are a couple of items a new owner may want to address detailed below.
There's a small dent to the oil tank which could easily be remedied and period correct decals are available and included, if needed assuming the oil was repainted.
The petrol tank chrome is good but the paintwork, under close scrutiny shows some fuel staining a couple of marks.
The wheels are the correct Borrani alloy rims . Chrome is good on the spokes. The tyres are Avon Roadrider in good condition.
The paintwork on the frame is in good condition.
The bike starts from cold using the well known practice of priming the engine via the carb tickler and kicking over the engine with the de-compression level engaged, generally on second or third kick, this is a 'knack' which does need practice!
The bike has always been run on 98 or 99 RON petrol.
There is some oil seepage from the engine but this is minimal in terms of oil consumption and the bike rarely requires 'topping up'.
Spare parts included
The following are included in the sale
- the original 4 speed gearbox
- spare cylinder head gasket
- Haynes workshop manual
