I have unfortunately made the difficult decision to sell my pride and joy. I love this car and I am in no rush to sell. Please read through the description below and contact me if you're interested.
This is my MK1 MX5 Import in red. MOT until October 2024. V5 present, 1 key although I may have a spare somewhere from back when I bought it. The car currently has a design drawn on it from an art exhibition where my MX5 was used as a canvas. I liked it, so I have left it on the car but it is removable if buyer prefers.
Quite a clean example of an MX5. Pictures of sills and arches are available to confirm. Not too bad underneath also. Has recently had a new CAT installed. Body work is average, the red paint is a bit faded in areas, as well as the odd scratch here and there. Overall for the age of the car, it's in good condition.
Runs well, automatic gearbox. Has never let me down. I have driven this car daily for over a year and a half and have loved it. When not on the road, has been dry stored in our garage. I am still driving the car every few days to keep the battery charged and keep it running.
I have taken the car to many shows, including it being featured on a business' stand at Japfest this year and again, pictures can be provided. I have looked after the car the best I could and I hope this continues in its new home.
The car as with any old car does have a couple of quirks. The radio doesn't work at the moment (wire needs reconnecting) and the lock on the passenger side is quite stiff as it does not get much use in comparison to the drivers side. Due to this and not wanting to damage the key, I lock and unlock the passenger door from inside the car.
Hardtop is not included in sale price or sale. I plan to hopefully have another one of these cars one day, so I am keeping hold of the hardtop.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I bought this car from an MX5 Owners Club show from an older gentleman. He had driven the car to the show with a 'for sale' sign in the window. I went to view the car at his home after the show had ended and decided to bring it home. Since owning the car, it has travelled to many shows with myself as a clean example of a MK1 MX5 Eunos.
This car is great fun and one of my favourite things is the looks you get driving down the road from passers by. Everybody seems to loves the car and how it looks.
