My Tiger T110 has undergone abit of TLC after years sat in a large collection.
New S/ S wheels and Road Rider tyres from Central wheels £1000.
Refurbished seat by RK Leightons stripped sand blasted, resprayed, refoamed, New cover £210.
Resprayed front mudguard & bracket supports by AM
Sandblasted then resprayed black steel engine barrel and head by AM
New rear chain
New handle bar grips
New rear LED light
New battery
New S/ S fixings
New clutch cable
Primary drive chain replaced with dry belt system new front sprocket and clutch basket £300.
Carb stripped
Gearbox checked
Engine bores rings checked
Fuel pipes and fixings replaced
Various parts bead blasted
Petrol tank cleaned out and relined.
Various new seals
Electrics tested
The frame was re powder coated 10-12 years ago.
Matching frame and engine numbers. I brought it from a private collector as I've always liked the 50s classic Triumph look as i own a 60s Triumph and 70s Bmw, a retired friend of mine who rebuilds classics looked it over then we set about bringing it back to life after many years of sitting in a collection, it has been fun she now looks and sounds great.
When I got it back home in the garage after its refurb I've enjoyed rides out between villages on bumpy roads smiling feeling alive trying to learn this advance/ retard engine thing, this is no quiet boring runner it's an experience alright.
Get the kick start just right at the engines top dead centre compression put the choke down, advance off one big kick it roars to life.
I don't suppose it will be used on long journeys now it's 68 years old but perfect for local meanderings, club nights or display.
And yes it dribbles the odd drop of oil but don't they all.
