Customers for Toyota’s top-performing Celica coupe can enjoy extra style and value for money this summer with the new Celica Blue range. Distinguished by special interior trim and upholstery and extra style and equipment features, the new models go on sale on 1 September.
Both standard and Premium versions of the Celica Blue are available featuring, in addition to the regular Celica specification two-tone blue and granite leather upholstery and door inserts, a T Sport-style rear spoiler, signature ‘Blue’ badging and larger, 12-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels with unique blue centre caps. A Sony six-disc CD multichanger is also provided as standard.
Celica Premium Blue models further benefit from a sunroof and climate control automatic air conditioning for just £500 more. The cars are offered in Astral Black or optional Crystal Silver and Lagoon Blue metallic finishes.
The on-the-road prices are £18, 645 for the Celica Blue and £19, 145 for the Celica Premium Blue, representing excellent value for money. The Celica Blue comes with £1, 000 worth of extra features, yet is priced at just £500 more than the Celica Style model. Likewise, the Celica Premium Blue benefits from additional equipment worth £1, 500, but costs just £1, 000 more than the regular Celica Style and Premium model on which it is based.
Both Celica Blue models are powered by Toyota’s acclaimed 140bhp 1. 8-litre VVT-i engine, matched to a six-speed manual gearbox. Nought to 62mph can be dispatched in 8. 7 seconds, yet up to 36. 7mpg can be achieved in combined cycle driving.
