Mileage gauge on the car was recorded at 143, 14 when I purchased it in 2002 as the second owner; since then has been driven less than 10, 000 miles.
Summary of work undertaken (Receipts available)
Two replacement front wings, panels and bonnet.
Replacement wheels and tyres.
Respray to both sides and other areas as required.
Replacement 061 ECU sensor.
New cylinder head and gasket.
Replacement alternator.
Instrument cluster replacement, but fuel level gauge still needs attention.
Work for the future:
The fuel level indicator gauge needs attention. I am advised that this is not a major repair, if undertaken by a classic car specialist.
This car comes with a box of spare parts.
A comprehensive set of BMW monthly publications over 22 years has also been preserved and available. I bought this car some 22 years ago from a local garage, with one previous owner. I had been fully aware of the prestige and quality of this model and it has not disappointed me.
I admire its design, performance and handling and have had much pleasure maintaining and driving it over the years.
However, due to increasing health issues I am unable to drive it and enjoy it as much as I would wish. Reluctantly, I now feel it is time for another enthusiast to take it on, someone who will appreciate and enjoy owning and driving it as much as I have done in the past.
