Description
1996 Subaru Impreza WRX Gravel Express
133, 000km so around 82k miles
Black with the silver two tone (Black being the rarest combo I believe)
Incredibly rare car having only produced 1300/ 1400 in 4 colour types
This is a factory 5 speed manual matched to the famous EJ20 with a TD0520g turbo
Has a very ARC intake (last for sale was £600 alone) a BOV (cannot remember brand but I think HKS)
Full original interior (blue tiger print), imported from Australia dash carpet
Larger 4 pot calipers up front with standard rears, 17" wrx alloys (need a refurb) with good tread tyres (nothing special)
Bellmouth downpipe with catted midpipe and sti backbox
clear taillights (sort after)
Huge stacks of Japanese and UK paperwork, car was imported in 2005
I have a quite a few spare parts including - clutch, wing mirrors, rear strut brace, original bonnet scoops and vents, replacement arch panel and a few miscellaneous parts
Now bad points - It does have bubbling on arches (have replacement panel for the worse of the sides), jacking points are okay but if you are doing arches then sills may as well be done for piece of mind, turrets are rust clear as far as I can tell. It is 27/ 28 years old so body work is not perfect but a decent detailer would make it a very clean car. It does need just sort of general work doing, its had a recent service and MOt and there a few bits listed like small oil leak etc but have been quoted maybe £500 to complete the work.
It actually runs and drives spot on, starts on the button every time even if left for a month, just becoming a driveway queen with not much use at all so needing some love and attention, but I have no doubt I could get in it and drive to Scotland with no issues.
Overall its a great fun, unique, rare car that is in need of small TLC
Happy to send over any pics or videos
Open to sensible offers, viewings welcomeBeing such a rare model built for the New Zealand and Australian market (Bush and Farm work) its so unique, sharing the body with a GF8 WRX then being lifted on Forester style struts and adding a bullbar, side skirts and spare wheel rack for a unique and practical offroad look and use. A two tone paint job which no other models have, a one off interior for the Gravel express, it stands out everywhere it goes.
