Description
Capots Vintage, a specialist in prestige and classic cars in Lyon, offers you this magnificent example of the Jaguar MK2, both in terms of its condition and its history. Delivered new on 11 December 1961 by the official importer Delecroix in Paris, this car was first registered in Lyon and is believed to have served as the executive car for the company Officine Thomasson & Cie. Our car is fitted with the original 3. 8L engine, mated to a Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox, and is presented in "Old English White" with beautiful burgundy upholstery. The upholstery was redone around fifteen years ago, and the car recently underwent an exterior refurbishment as well as a complete overhaul (engine, braking system). In terms of notable improvements, we know from the very comprehensive file that a revised 5-speed Getrag manual gearbox was fitted in 2019, as well as a power steering kit in 2009. A stainless steel exhaust system and a big brake kit were also fitted, with 4-piston calipers and ventilated discs. The maintenance and repair invoice file amounts to €55, 000 since 2009 (excluding the purchase of the car). This is an ideal model for rallies: the Jaguar MK2 is eligible for all the major historic vehicle events. No costs are involved. Trade-in possible on your classic vehicle.
