Ce Cooper 500 Racer est un modèle MK5 de 1951 (chassis : MK5/ 2/ 51) comme en atteste son VIF (Vehicle Identification Form). Ex Ken Carter elle dispose d’un palmarès sur l’année 1951 : Rouen 4ème - GoodWood 3ème - Castelcombe 3ème - Brands Hatch 1ere.
Entre 1952 et 1980 elle fut transformée en 1100cm3 afin de participer à des courses de Formule 2 pour ensuite retrouver sa configuration d’origine en 500cm3.
Cette 500 racer dispose d’un moteur neuf Norton Manx origine Molnar équipé d’un carburateur Mikuni simplifiant son utilisation. Son système d’alimentation d’essence d’origine est disponible.
Elle comprend également un « paddock starter » utile pour la mise en marche du moteur.
