I purchased the car knowing it had grumbling differential ( a known issue with these). It has been replaced professionally. Any BMW Z4 aficionados out there will know that arguably this is the pick of the bunch. The 2. 5 litre straight six with manual gearbox. The exhaust has a beautiful tone that sounds great with the roof down but isn't intrusive. With the hard top up this car is great on the motorway. Fantastic for a longer road trip and also a blast around the lanes.
The car is fitted with Bluetooth phone and audio from USB. The heating and ventilation in this vehicle make it usable as both a coupe and roadster year round. The heated seats keep you toastie so you can drive top down even in February and the aircon blasts cold when required. The seats can be adjusted for height, back rest and tilt with a pull out bolster to support your legs. This make s it easy to find the most comfortable position from which to enjoy driving the car. It also has the ski hatch option and of course electric windows. Front and rear parking sensors ensure you don't scrape the beautiful nose and tail. All in all just enough creature comforts without compromising that sports car vibe.
The roof retracts and deploys faultlessly which makes this such a civilised car whatever the weather.
The red leather interior sets off the white paintwork admirably and the view from the drivers seat across that long bonnet gives you that feeling that driving this car is an event in itself.
To be honest - the car isn't perfect and the leather has a little wear as you'd expect and there are some marks on the interior trim which the silvered finish was susceptible to and if I was keeping the car I'd get the wheels refinished. That's being picky as the car is very presentable and in extremely sound condition where it counts.
With a low mileage, good history file and 2 keys this car is a fantastic buy for anyone who wants a desirable car (it gets compliments) that doesn't require you to have a footballer's salary and, if you are already into BMWs you'll recognise what this car offers.
