Car was imported in 2017. Matching numbers, chassis, engine and gearbox. Car was restored (engine out, full bare metal respray and mechanical overhaul, returning it to its original colour) completed between 2018-2020. Although the car was in excellent, as original condition, there was some localised floor pan corrosion (found when removing the underseal) which was cut out and repaired with new series 1 metal pressings welded into place. A full photographic restoration history is available that shows all the metalwork fully exposed and details all the work done.

The car is an extremely early version of the series 1, built Dec. 1965 and I've not come across any other s1 with the same original bonnet configuration (prop) on this car (only earlier berlina's seem to have this).

The only modification to the car is a 123 electronic distributor (but I have the original plus spares if you wanted to go back to 100% original). Hundreds of pounds worth of spares come included e. g. a clean set of spare carbs.

Engines runs well, starts every time, idles smoothly, pulls strongly, and revs as it should with no smoke. Steering is incredibly responsive and handles like a dream.

Very reluctant sale of a well loved car, solely due to down-sizing. Further details inc. photos of full restoration are available to be shared. Inspection welcomed.
