Audi rs6 4. 2 v8 twin turbo, manual swapped!
550 bhp quattro, non sunroof, leather heated front and rear seats, bluetooth audi headunit with bose sound system, alcantara headlining, no pixels missing on dash display.
Manual swap was done 9k miles ago, engine out, seals all done, cambelt waterpump chains etc, new refurb’d turbos, new decat downpipes, uprated prop bearing and bushing, new engine mounts and gearbox mount. Uprated oil cooler and braided lines with an fittings for gearbox oil cooling. New silicone intercooler pipes. New power steering pump, s8 starter motor, new alternator, Ringer Racing clutch and flywheel.
Rear end has been refreshed, all painted black and fully polybushed rear end.
Troublesome factory suspension gone and coilovers put on, 8 pot brembo brakes, car is wrapped original colour avus silver. 156, 000 on the clock, i managed 30. 2mpg on a 2 hour long mixed motorway and A road drive thanks to the manual gearbox and 6th gear.
Wheel have just been acid dipped and refurbished powdercoated 29/ 02/ 24.
Bad bits-
-Cruise control does not work due to manual swap, did have someone in the fourms tell me he knows the way around it for a manual swap, may be an easy fix!
-Air conditioning never regassed after engine was put back in, so not sure if it would work or not.
-A few dents on the roof.
-Front maxton designs splitter has cracked.
You’ll struggle to find another manual swapped c5 rs6 on the market, this one has done absolute wonders and is tried and tested. Much more pleasureable than the horrible automatic gearbox these cars have from factory. Car gets alot of attention, will be an upcoming classic for sure!
