Description
2008 Citroen C6 2. 7 Lignage .
Black leather interior with black piano trim and folding rear seats.
Very well equipped with heads up display, heater leather electric seats etc.
MOT December 2024
Lots of receipts including a Major service and Intercooler in 2022 and a gearbox rebuild and timing belt a few years ago.
I've had since the summer of 2023 as I always wanted one.
While I've had it I've fitted new (refurbished) front calipers, discs and pads and had EGR's blanked and mapped out. This deals with a common C6 issue and the EGRs themselves are difficult to replace.
It drives really nicely. It has no suspension issues or handbrakes issues.
There's no engine management light on or de-pollution faults.
All the interior electric work including the electric heated seats and climate control (air con blows cold).
It had the wheels refurbished in earlier in 2023.
There are a few small negatives worth noting.
The digital dash sometimes doesn't come on come on. I'd say it's comes on 60% of the time and 40% not. It's a common C6 fault and you can send it off for repair. It's quite easy to get out.
You can still see the speed on the heads up display.
There's a small chip in the bottom of the windscreen. It's been there for years and is out of line of sight so not an MOT issue.
The drivers side window is double glazed and the outer glazing cracked for no real reason. The window works absolutely fine and you can see out it no problem I've put clear wrap over it.
These are pretty minor issues in the world of C6 ownership and don't stop it being driven and enjoyed. For a modern(ish) car the C6 is unique in so many ways having owned cars like the Renault Avantime before the C6 was on my must own list. Anyone who likes their cars a bit different should at least drive one.
It's the last of full hydro suspension Citroens and has lots of pretty iconic design features like the the concave rear window and long bonnet with follow me home head lamps.
The interior is slightly more conventional but very nice. It has big comfy seats, an automatic gearbox and a big torquey engine so it's quite relaxed to drive. While it's more conventional it still has some interesting features like a heads up display and art deco damped door buckets.
If you can live with the fact they're a bit higher maintenance than your normal car they're fun to own.
