Description
For sale is my neighbour's timewarp 1960 Mk 2 Zodiac straight-six, lovingly owned since 1972 and tastefully modified in period. The car is rock solid and mechanically great with a new MOT to Jan'25, starts on the button and purrs along with great oil pressure. The paintwork reflects a patina of loving use across the years, which could either be preserved as it is, or repainted for an optimal finish. The car has been lowered slightly all round, with uprated front struts and lowering blocks at rear. The straight six 2. 5 litre engine is an upgrade taken from a Mk3 Zodiac, and comes with a column shifter for smooth cruising. The car is very solid with no visible rust, boot floor is solid and painted, car has been garaged for decades and regularly used. Tax exempt historic vehicle. (MOT exempt also, but has always been tested annually.)This Zodiac has been in single ownership since 1972 (original MOTs and bill of sale etc included) and has been much loved. The cars sits on wider original Wolfrace wheels, and included in the sale are the original set of Ford steel wheels if that look is preferred. The engine starts on the button and it drives very smoothly. The front wings are fibreglass, and the body has been modified in period to radius the rear wheelarches, with clever mods to keep the rear doors operational. Paintwork generally presents well but there is some crazing on the roof and a few blisters/ scrapes other panels that could be improved with a little attention. The interior was beautifully reupholstered some years ago and looks lovely, very comfortable bench seats front and rear. Custom exhaust makes a lovely burble and is in great condition and looks stainless. Loads of tread on the tyres, which are 205/ 60x14 front and 215/ 60x14 rear. I'm assisting my neighbour's widow to find a new home for this much loved car.
