The Appeal
The X308 is a remarkable testament to the enduring style of the original 1968 XJ. Based on cleverly updated and proven XJ40 architecture, it added more luxury and of course the super-smooth AJV8 engine to create a package never quite matched by its competitors.
The 3. 2litre SE Executive is popular with modern enthusiasts for its combination of smooth power, improved economy and firmer, sharper handling. Final cars got added luxury including interiors open to extensive buyer bespoking.
This lovely late model SE is tastefully finished in metallic with a cream leather interior accented by smart Birds Eye Maple veneers. It is in excelleny condition and comes to the buyer with a comprehensive service history and will. have a full MOT upon sale.
The History and Paperwork
• First registered on 26th September 2002 in the final year of X308 production

The Condition
• The interior of this XJ8 is sumptuously finished in Oatmeal leather
• The luxurious leather seats are electrically adjustable and have a three-setting memory function in the front.
• The front seats are also electrically heated
• The rear bench is sculpted for comfort and accommodates two passengers in great comfort
• The condition of the seat leather appears to be very good overall
• The door cars are finished in a combination of Oatmeal leather, maple veneer and carpeted accents
• The carpets are finished in cream and are in excellent condition
• The dashboard, which was all new for the X308, appears unmarked overall

• The instruments are deeply recessed and feature clear white on black dials

The Mechanics
• This car is fitted with the 3. 2L version of the AJ-V8 engine which was new for the X308
• This unit was originally rated at 240 bhp and 233 Ib-ft of torque
• Power is fed to the rear wheels via a five-speed ZF 5HP24 gearbox
• This car has clearly enjoyed fastidious and regular maintenance throughout its life
• It has also covered sensible mileage on a regular basis – the best approach for mechanical systems
• The car drives without fault and has just HD a full inspection at a Jaguar approved specialist.

Summary
There aren’t many cars which can offer the wide-ranging appeal of this XJ8 at such an affordable price. A sumptuously appointed interior with many welcome refinements on hand to enhance the driver, or passenger experience. A great appearance of the SE model combined with that indefinable dignity and presence of a big Jaguar saloon. Registered on 26th September 2002 in Devon and the majority of its life in the area which may explain its excellent external condition.

Alongside this history is an astonishingly detailed history of the car by its owner from 2008 to 2017 by its longest term owner. It covers all his requests at service time to the garage along with any concerns he had with the car which he wanted remedied.
