''The Michael Owen Special'' Probably the most famous Jaguar X-Type for sale, 2. 5 litre V6 petrol. Manual, 4 wheel drive, Phoenix red (Liverpool red) specially commissioned contrasting red stitching to the ivory leather seats. Factory prepared by Jaguar, presented to Michael Owen in April 2002 after he won the Ballon d'or, to use mainly driving to & from ''Liverpool Football Clubs'' training ground with Jaguars PR dept hoping he'd be papped to attract a younger audience to their cars. Michael's signature is laser etched into the rear glass & on the dashboard veneer with a hand milled aluminium gear knob featuring his shirt number (10) and name. The only X-type ever to have all of these special features. In July 2002 Sotheby's of Bond Street London sold the car on behalf of ''Sports Relief'' for 37, 500 & it was subsequently gifted & put on sale by ''The Willow Foundation'' raising a further 17, 500, the car raised circa 55, 000 for charity before it then went on tour. Transported to at least 16 events including: London Classic Car Show, CSMA Brands Hatch, Donnington Park, Beaulieu, British International Motor Show NEC Birmingham. Comes with an incredible history. Featured in the Jaguar Enthusiasts Magazine, and a 4 page article in December 2021 ''Jaguar World'' magazine. Predominantly in private ownership, returned to the UK after being on display in a museum in Germany ahead of my purchasing it from a Jaguar Classic Car Specialists. Only 37, 066 miles, comes with both keys & is in truly pristine unmarked condition both inside and out. Always garaged under a soft bespoke cover.
