Purchased new at Normand (Continental) Limited VW & Audi Main Dealer of Hammersmith London (Dealer Number Plates still on vehicle). We have the original New Vehicle Invoice and handwritten receipt for £6, 690 on the 06/ 04/ 1990. The vehicle remained in London with its lady owner until being released for onward sale, after nearly 34 years, this year! The original sales brochure for the Polo Coupe Parade & Polo Country Limited Editions, is also still tucked within the comprehensive service history portfolio, lovely to see. The 1. 3 engine starts straight up with no fuss whatsoever, it is not smoky or rackety in the slightest and runs beautifully. The five speed gearbox is crisp, and the clutch is perfect. The suspension, brakes and steering are precise and responsive, free from any unwanted knocks, noises, or gremlins. It really is as good as it looks, you would not find a better looking or driving example. We have just carried out its 34th service and new MOT (pass with no advisories). Cosmetically, when the car arrived with us, it was showing its age. The sun had bleached and flattened the paint, and the wheels had certainly seen some life on the busy London streets. The car was driven to our local and very well respected bodyshop, to be given a sympathetic all over external respray, in the original Royal Blue Metallic Paint. The alloy wheels were also fully refurbished at the same time. The car has since been professionally detailed, with the interior looking just as fresh as the exterior. The spare wheel well, bulkhead, floor pan, are free from any rust or rot, as are the sills, arches, and underside of the vehicle. The spare wheel is present, along with the original jack and wheel brace. The Parade was equipped with height adjustable drivers seat, radio & cassette player, rear spoiler, wheel arch extensions and side rubbing strips, alloy wheels, twin front headlights, tinted glass (all glass is stamped with the number plate and looks to be original!), and twin door mirrors. Everything on the car is still working perfectly and in very good condition.
