This is my beautiful BSA B44 shooting star, built in 1970 and registered in April of that year, this genuine UK matching numbers bike has had incredibly only 2 previous owners, the mileage of 9500 is believed to be genuine, the bike was rebuilt and restored some years ago, I have receipts relating to this.
It came to me as a running machine on the road but cosmetically it was looking a little tired from long term storage, it has been completely stripped and re finished, fresh paint, powder coated frame, the engine has been stripped and checked and found to be in excellent condition and still on standard bore with no wear whatsoever, I just replaced the oil seals and rebuilt it with a fresh set of rings.
The exhaust is new, as is the carb, I replaced the wiring loom and fitted electronic ignition, along with a solid state reg/ rec and a new battery, the front rim is excellent original chrome, the rear rim is stainless.. The tyres and tubes are new.
This is a great little bike, light weight and easy to start but still with plenty of grunt, I really love this bike but I’m currently working on a B44 Victor special project so this is going to fund that
It is currently fitted with a short reverse cone megaphone which sounds fantastic however I do have a good standard silencer with related bracketry which will go with the bike, The fuel tank is steel and the seat cover is new... a start up and walk around video is available on request
It is of course registered as Historic to qualify for Tax and MOT exemption, i have the current V5C and it is registered in my name
Thanks for looking, this is cash on collection or bank transfer only please
