2003 BMW 5 Series E39 (1997-2003) 525i

2003 / 03 BMW E39 525i Sport Touring Auto

This is a totally original E39 Touring, one of the last facelift models, fitted with genuine 18" M Parallel alloy wheels and factory M Sport equipment. I bought the car in 2021 with 109k miles on the clock and have used it as my daily driver until very recently (current mileage 124, 950). It was in good condition with a full service history when I bought it and I have tried to improve it as best I can during my ownership, with no expense spared on maintenance at a recognised BMW Specialist. I have spent around £6k on it, including the following work, with all bills included in the history file:

Front suspension (anti roll bar bushes, caster arms, upper arm etc)
Rear suspension (lower rose joints, L brackets, RHR upper arm etc)
Rear brake flexi hoses
4 wheel alignment
New coolant bottle and viscous coupling
Rocker cover gasket
Inspection 1 service
Replace both rear suspension airbags
Replace front brake discs and pads (recent)
Replace all 4 tyres (Oct 23) - Toyo Proxes Sport
Repaint whole front end to rectify stone chips and age related marks

I have also just had another service carried out (oil service and brake fluid) so it will not require servicing again for some time. The MOT runs out at the end of May, but I would be happy to get a fresh MOT carried out prior to sale.

The car is now in fantastic condition and undoubtedly one of the best examples available currently. E39 Tourings are becoming increasingly rare and most have had hard lives and have not been maintained to very high standards in recent years. It comes with 2 keys, large history file, handbooks, stamped service book and even an original E39 M Sports Package brochure from BMW. It is fully HPI clear and I am the 4th owner.
