Description
A lovely example of an S1 Exige.
The car is in stunning condition and as good as I've seen. I can't really claim any credit for it as it was the previous owner that went through the car to make it what it is.
It's a 2000 model and was originally Silver but the last owner painted it Yulong White, ( a JLR colour seen on Range Rovers ). It looks metallic white in full sun but a bit more moody metallic white/ silver in shade, ( as you can see on the dull day I took the photos ). The paintwork is superb with no chips or scratches and I've just had the rear engine cover refurbished as it had some laquer peel.
It's got the Motorsport seats and Luke Harnesses. Otherwise the interior is completely standard with the only other point to note being the gearshift which is bang on with renewed bushings and cables.
The engine is a DVA built VHPD spec with dyno print out of 205bhp. It's got Piper cams in it, Verniers, Emerald ECU, ITB's with unequal length intakes, big bore manifold, Larini back box, performance clutch, lightweight flywheel, oil to water cooler, alloy rad, S2 engine cover. It goes really well and properly starts to sing above 5k with plenty of pops and crackles on the overrun.. I have a breakdown invoice of all the work/ parts from the build.
It's got an OEM factory spec AP racing big brake conversion with fast road pads, ( Pagid I think ), with braided lines.
Suspension wise its on Bilstein PSS10 with remote reservoirs. I think Eibach springs. The units were sent away for full rebuild and servicing and have done about 2k miles since, ( have the invoice for this ). Car has also been fully polybushed all around and is running uprated adjustable ARB. Wheels are original with new bolts and runs Yoko A048.
The car is HPI clear, MOT'd until May, has a full service history and there's a file of invoices + an original brochure and two keys..
All in all I'd say it's about as good an example of an original spec K Series car as you'll get with the only changes being subtle performance mods to improve things where it counts.
I've not had the chance but think it would be superb on track!
If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Thanks, Ed
