1986 Yamaha RD 500

I know I will regret this given time.

For sale from my collection:

Marlboro Yamaha RD500LC

First registered August 1986 with 6 previous owners.

All original, low mileage backed up by all the old MOT’s. Still showing the last Tax disc from when she was properly on the road in 1994.

This bike was the third bike to be painted by Dream Machine when Yamaha created the handful of Marlboro bikes at the end of the sale run. (Third bike has been confirmed by the LC owners club who have the list of the frame numbers)

Is this the cheapest RD 500, probably not, is it the most original low mileage Marlboro bike for sale, yes. One sold a few years ago for £32k.

Carbs have been cleaned, engine checked over, run on the Dyno and MOT’d by Royston at REPS motorcycles when I first got her. Started regularly since, but not ridden.

Booked in for a carb service and MOT in two weeks time.

All original panels, original Dream Machine fluorescent paint which has slightly faded over time to give her the look she has today. I was so close to getting her re-sprayed, but I’m glad i didn’t. She is only original once.

Not dents or dings on the original exhausts, still has the original stone guard and seat hump.

New Avon Roadrider MkII tyres.
New Battery with Oximiser lead.

Comes with all Old MOT’s and original Owners Manual. V5 in my name.
