1957 Austin A35 Pick up for sale
I brought this car back from Chile in 2010 and have had extensive work carried out, new cills and floors etc. Now converted to right hand drive and fitted with a 1275cc engine and 3. 7 diff it goes very well with the original colour, Speedwell Blue. Only 498 pick ups were made and many went for export, Chile received 50.
I don’t have the ability to complete the work required, fitting the drivers’ door so it doesn’t clip the cill and completing fitting the headlining. There are some minor works that need doing, fitting a screenwash system for example. There are many, many new parts including:
All new chrome, 1275 engine with unleaded head, ribbed box with 1098 clutch fitted (much lighter than the 1275 clutch), Kenlowe fan, Lumenition electronic ignition, sports coil, SU carb, alternator, new fuel pump, A40 front brakes, frogeye wheels, halogen headlamps, laminated windscreen etc
Very rare and unusual and wouldn't take much to make it a show car
