I have finally decided to sell my project as after 4 years of sitting on my drive I haven’t found the time to finish the car.
I have owed stags since 1989 and this one was offered to me as a project as a rust free none runner. Having restored one in the past I knew how much work was required to make a mint triumph stag. So after carefully inspecting the car I knew this would make an excellent car.
I have replaced the gearbox with a recon and the diff with a second hand unit as the original had a broken sun gear. That’s as far as I got and driveway repairs are not the easiest way to spend my weekends since the loss of my workshop I have decided to let someone else take this project forward.
The car will make a excellent car in the right hands .
It is not drivable as it has been stood for 4years . The general body is in good condition but the paint lacquer is peeling and will require a re spray.
The timing chains need replacing and the interior and soft top will require restoration. The passenger side front outrigger requires replacing .
Please don’t expect a few hours work this is a project but will easily make a great car and if you wish this could be made into a concourse car.
