This Triumph Spitfire is an early MKII model first registered in March 1965, therefor registered in the first three or four months of production. I have owned this car since 2011 and bought with the best of intentions but an upcoming GT6 MKI rebuild forces the sale, sadly I can't restore both...
It obviously requires a full rebuild but is virtually complete, it is missing carpets and interior trim but these would be replaced as a matter of course when rebuilding. The areas that really matter, ie the "A" post areas, behind the rear kickboard and over the diff tunnel down to the boot floor along with the inner wings all look to be in good order. The windscreen frame looks to be particularly good and it comes with a pair of dry state US import doors.
The car retains it's original engine which is not seized and the car is mechanically complete. The car has it's original seats with the correct seat runners, hood sticks and rear deck finishing trim, all of which are hard to come by. The car also comes with a steel "bubble" hard top.
To sum up, an original early MKII with matching numbers and only two previous owners with the V5C in my name.
